In 2010 I was involved in a motor vehicle accident (MVA) which resulted in a Traumatic Brain Injury. With the assistance of many therapists and doctors, I attempted to return to my business several times over the years with various strategies with little to no success.  Coupled with processing relationship issues and difficult emotional struggles, the mental fatigue was so overwhelming there were days I could not leave my apartment.

But that is not my legacy...

 I have learned that while strength does come from faith and self-disciplined emotional work, there is always room to learn and grow from other's experiences.

My DNA is resilient.

Amy and I started DNA to provide a place for men to battle life in the presence of other men in their own battles. Every man bears heavy burdens in life and normalizing talking to each other about the struggles is the only way to affect change for ourselves

and those in our lives.

Going into battle is a "brotherhood" and I commit to having your back.

I moved to Canada in 2005 for what I thought was love...but learned that was definitely not the case. I stand here today damaged, bruised and emotionally exhausted...but I refuse to be broken. I am still recovering and reclaiming the God-given strength I have, and strive to be a grounded role model to my children. 

My DNA is empathetic.

Women have society's support to talk and express and heal; I don't believe men do, and I want to change that. Donny and I believe that DNA offers an option for men to grow, heal and shape their legacy. 

Men are strong and, just like women when you are supported and encouraged, you are capable of being the best version of yourselves. Donny and I believe that through the power of connection and conversation, the men of DNA will positively shape their stories, not only for themselves, but for others, for years to come.

Growing up a Pastor's Kid comes with a whole lot of expectations...so I am no stranger to the pressures of life and legacy. 

I have battled my way to a healthier more peaceful place and through those struggles I have learned so much about, not only myself, but what healthy relationships need to encompass. I have journaled, documented, failed, succeeded, healed and grown my way

to be the man I am today.

My DNA is knowledgeable.

There is another level of unexplainable emotional and spiritual satisfaction that can only be experienced by accomplishing that which you were born to do, helping those you were born to help. I believe DNA will be a space for every man to safely discover that we are Image Bearers, created in God's image and there is such thing as objective truth on which we hang our beliefs, values and principles.
